The "Anna Klara Haus", built in 1928, is situated in a beautiful hillside location with a far-reaching view above the town center of Schleiden between "Blankenheimer Straße" and "Am Hähnchen". Initially used as the first girls' high school in Schleiden, the building served as a sisters' recreation home and church-related purposes after 1945. The property, commonly referred to as "Kloster Schleiden", is located on a park-like property of 55,000 m² and is surrounded by forest all around. The unique location in a quiet environment with old trees makes the property particularly attractive. Under the aspect of sustainability and with respect for the history of the house, during the conversion and expansion, emphasis is placed on preserving elements from the existing building, such as the old stained glass windows, and using them decoratively in a new way.

In the future, the convent will house two dementia living communities on a total of 871 m². Of these, 12 rooms will occupy 448 m² and 11 rooms 423 m². In addition, 13 barrier-free apartments will be created here on a total of 723 m² in sizes ranging from 45 - 73 m². Most of these have a balcony or terrace. In total, the rentable area amounts to 1856 m². Throughout the building, community terraces and meeting places promote togetherness. In addition, there is an event room that can also be used by the residents of the planned new building in the immediate vicinity. This is where people meet for a chat and socially enjoy their free time. Here, for example, people play games, do handicrafts and dance. Theater performances, cinema shows, music evenings and the like are also conceivable.

Attached to the former monastery, a new building is being constructed on 1013 m² with 14 barrier-free apartments ranging in size from 50 - 85 m². All apartments are completed by a balcony or terrace. Senior-friendly care is also possible here on request. A total of 45 parking spaces are planned for both buildings.

A special plus will be the communally usable garden. Beautifully landscaped and equipped with seating and rest areas, it is easily accessible via a small pedestrian bridge by elevator, which levels the differences in height. If you travel down one more stop from the garden, you step out of the elevator directly onto the street. The town center of Schleiden is reached after a few minutes' walk. A health food store, a bakery as well as supermarkets and restaurants offer everything that daily life requires in the immediate vicinity. The Schleiden adventure pool, located two kilometers from the city center, guarantees recreational fun for young and old, providing variety, fun and relaxation.

Only one kilometer away from the property is the St. Antonius Hospital. As a modern healthcare service provider, it ensures medical care in the region with its affiliated surgical department. The hospital has a total of eight clinics with 105 beds. Five beds are available for inpatient care in the intensive care unit.
