In Rheinstraße 26/28 in 47198 Duisburg, two buildings with a total of 20 residential units and a total living space of around 2,050 m² are being built.
Two of the residential units will be designed as residential communities for dementia patients and will each accommodate ten residents. The bedrooms and the common kitchen-living room per residential community will cover a total of 360 m².
The concept will enable a more intensive care of the residents, as the outpatient nursing service will find all the people to be cared for in one place. The travel time saved in this way can be significantly increased and benefits the residents. The residents organize their everyday life together and support each other, thus enabling them to live as self-determined a life as possible. In this concept, each resident pays his or her share of the total costs incurred in the community. If this is not enough, the state provides support so that no one is excluded from this form of housing. By the care law it was specified that this form of living is preferentially promoted in relation to the stationary care.
The apartments will have living spaces between 47 m² and 107 m². In addition, 22 (outdoor) parking spaces will be created. The property is fully leased for 15 years and meets the latest standards in terms of construction.
Public transport is within 5 minutes walking distance and the journey to the next main station takes 15 minutes. The next freeway can be reached in 5 minutes and the airport in 25 minutes.
